Artisan Built is a partnership of Combs Custom Construction and Gregory-Miller Custom Homes. This consolidates three licensed contractors, Bryan and Earle Combs and Ryan Miller, who have serviced the Lake Oconee area as custom home builders and remodelers combined for 25 years. This partnership has reduced our overhead and increased our ability to better serve our customers.
Our experience as building contractors enables us to guide you through the design and construction process in a smooth and predictable manner. The end result is a pleasing, workable home within budget and on schedule.
Bryan Combs
Founder of Combs Custom Construction, LLC and founding partner of Artisan Built, LLC, Bryan is an experienced project manager with thirteen years in construction, engineering management and development.
From 2000 to the end of 2002, Bryan was the Project Manager for Linger Longer Development’s $95 million construction of the 250 room Ritz Carlton Lodge at Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Georgia.
Bryan has a BS in Engineering Mechanics from the United States Air Force Academy, and an MS in Engineering Systems Management from St. Mary’s University and is currently serving on the board for the Lake Oconee Area Builder's Association. Bryan is a Lt. Colonel in the United States Air Force Reserves.
Bryan has lived in Reynolds Plantation since 2000.
Ryan Miller
Ryan possesses a strong construction background with over ten years of experience in the construction and marketing of high-quality single family custom homes.
In 2001, Ryan founded Gregory-Miller Custom Homes, Inc. with his partner Kristen Gregory. In 2006, Ryan co-founded Artisan Built, LLC with Bryan Combs. Both companies have targeted the ever increasing contract and speculative building markets in and around Lake Oconee.
Ryan has a BS in Environmental Health Science from the University of Georgia and is currently serving on the board for the Lake Oconee Area Builder’s Association.
Earle Combs
Co-founder of Combs Custom Construction, LLC with his son Bryan, Earle is a retired Air Force Lt. Colonel, fighter pilot, and Delta Captain. He worked in the construction industry throughout college and periodically until 2002 when he transitioned to full time custom home builder.
Earle has a BS in Chemistry from Eastern Kentucky University, and an MA in Industrial Psychology from Webster University.
Earle and his wife Libby have lived in Reynolds Plantation since 1996.
